Marcus, still leaning back, watched her pace around the room, her head on her little fist. What was going through that girl's mind? The crazy girl was always thinking of SOMETHING new to torture him with. She was the only one that liked to completely bother him. Other than some of the other Rekarts who came and poked sticks at him, driving his mind-reading brain wild.
It happened too quickly for him, she started to talk like crazy, her mouth moving faster than he could follow with his now sluggish mind. And once she started to jump up and down he had to close his eyes to keep himself from going dizzy. God, this girl was cra-zy. Of course, it didn't help once she started talking about marriage. "Hah, we'll talk about that later, kiddo," he said, after collecting his breath once she jumped on his lap. His eyes watered slightly and he watched her before pushing her off of him, not daring to stand up for fear of being sick.
Thoughts rushed through his mind. Would it be possible to get away? No. Hell no. Not with those two. Or...three. Would it be possible to get rid of the shackles around his mind? Probably. They'd have to remove them... To make him useful. Could he take advantage of that? Most likely... But he didn't want to think about that just now anyway.

Dante waited as the fellow freak left to retrieve the brawny one. Leaning against the wall, his silky black hair stuck to it due to that damn static electricity, although he didn't seem to notice-or maybe he didn't seem to care. Reaching in one of his seemingly never-ending pockets, his gloved hand grasped a small pack, and then drew it out. It was a pack of gum, yes, gum. With two long fingers, he pulled out a stick, unraveled it, and popped it into his mouth, then started the chewing.
Most people would think it weird for a bad ass dude like him to be chewing gum. They would probably assume that he would instead smoke a cigarette or down a beer. Well, never in his life had he ever drank or smoked, much less use drugs. Why would he? With drug dealers as parents, he saw the way they cheated out clients, taking in bundles of cash only for the miserable fools to overdose and die; the other users to spend their life high, and lost in a world of their own. And did he really have to go on about the side effects? Well for beer, his father was an alcoholic drunk, who most of his life spent hurting the people around him, including poor Dante. And you wonder why the dark man was so messed up.
Anyway, Dante didn't know why people would indulge in these nasty habits only to get addicted and die. He preferred a nice stick of harmless flavored gum. It was tastier, and had no side effects. Plus he liked when he would make a bubble and then pop it, to annoy the fellows around him.
As said gum was popped, he turned his pale, pointy face around to Chris's door, wondering what the fuck was taking him so long. What was he, a bloody woman? Sighing, he turned back around only to have his annoyance turn to relief as he spotted the two freaks coming his way. Smiling his gentleman smile, he bowed in front of Ivy, always being respectful to a lady- if this freak was one, who knows what the freaks were really like.
"Hello my darling Ivy, it is a pleasure to see you again. You see, there were two Rebels who escaped from my dear departed Kya's and my clutches. The girl a fire elemental, and the boy a mentis. I did successfully shoot the mentis, but the effects are probably wearing off now." Turning to Alaina, he pointed his gloved hand to her direction, presenting her.
"This girl was caught up in it, but we presumed that she may turn out...useful. In the event that she fails, I would take my duty to well, take care of her." That last line he said with a sadistic glint in his cold eyes, emphasizing his lust for kill. But, he quickly formed back, and turned back to his comrades.
"Now, we also assume that they have reinforcements, which is why the superior and I have gathered you together. The formations go as..." Dante turned to Ivy, polite look turning to seriousness as he a pointed their roles.
"Ivy, you shall be at the front. You will act as the offense, attacking any one at needed." He turned then to Damion.
"Damion, you shall be at Ivy's side acting as second in offense. You shall clear all obstacles in our path." Then, with the swish of his hair he turned to the door.
"Inside is Chris, he will be following us along side, probably across the streets. He will be acting as defense. He shall insure all safety." Then, finally he turned back to the rest.
"Our dear Hanagai will be at my side, acting as my defense. I have been appointed the leader in this mission, and will be in charge of all strategic actions. In any case necessary, I shall be back-up offense and defense." Turning to Alaina, his eyes glowered with seriousness, darkening his whole aura.
"You will show us your skill, standing in the back. Use whatever means necessary to show us what you are made of, in the event that you are useless, well, you know what comes next." Raising an eyebrow, Dante turned his aura back into a gentle-man like mode, facing everyone.
"Any questions before Chris is ready and we retrieve Hanagai?"

After being pushed off of the poor man's lap, the bouncy ninja girl frowned and pouted, crossing her arms. Then, as her rusty mind started to slowly work to her level, if it ever did, another lightbulb went off in her head and she giggled.
"Kyaa! Marcus-kun is so shy! He must be so honered to be a candidate for Hana-chan's danna! Don't worry almost-danna-kun, I shall be vouching for you!"
And to emphasize that she put a fist in the air, her eyes blazing like fire, going all seriously. But alas, she was so ADD that she lost all interest in what she had been doing and lowered the fist, bouncing over to the prisoner. Grabbing his arm and pulling him up with her strange strength, she skipped over to the door, dragging him with her.
"Hyakku Marcus-kun! You are such a slow-poke!"
With that she giggled, placing a small hand over the blazing white metal door, opening it, and stepping out with the mentis in her clutches. Skipping through the halls, her neat black bun of hair bouncing up and down, following her rythem, Hanagai went into the elevator, pressing the floor number for the dorms. She knew full and well that they would be at Chris's room, since Chris-kun took FOREVER to get ready.
Hyakku- Hurry up, faster.

Marcus snarled, as she dragged him along, his eyes closing against the bright white and his mind stinging as he passed through the horrible 'field of jelly fish' for his mind. However, as soon as they crossed over the threshold his mind was calm, and the ache and pain vanished. Opening his eyes, he found that he was still not relieved from the white but from the torture. A bit of a relieved smile broke upon his lips as he looked around, faintly able to reach into other's minds without being zapped out again. It was a refreshing feeling to be able to hear the outermost thoughts of others drifting into his head. He figured, however, they would give him the serum to keep his brain in his brain... If that made sense.
So, he enjoyed it while he could. Following what appeared to be his soon-to-be-wife (unless he was horrendously confused [which happened a lot]). Running a dark hand through his hair he walked, still bare footed and bare chested.
They rode the elevator up, up, up toward Chris's floor, and when the doors opened he looked at the large group that was gathering, surprised that they were all there. His mouth slightly slack with shock he pulled his mind in together, ready to behave for now, and letting his tormentor lead the way.

Ivy smirked softly as Dante assigned her in the front. Was it truly a good thing to be ahead, or a possible death sentence? Shaking the thought from her head she glanced at Chris’ closed door, that boy really did need to hurry. An impatient Dante was not a happy Dante.
Ivy actually stayed quiet as he finished giving out the roles and listened with mixed emotions towards him being appointed leader of the group. Now was that really fair to say? Really it seemed like she and Damion would be doing most of the attacking, and Dante staying behind planning their next moves. Was that really necessary? This job was almost acting on instincts, there really wasn’t much time for thinking. Why couldn’t another Rebmevon be in charge? Wouldn’t they know their own kind better anyway? Or were they afraid of treachery?
Nevertheless she shrugged, “Fire and mentis. Shouldn’t be horribly difficult.” She said gently, her voice always having a soft hint to it. She always thought that she got stuck with the wrong power. There was no way a small girl like herself could be stuck with super strength. Wouldn’t it be more fitting with flight? She would be light enough.
Footsteps in the distance caused her to look up and for a moment she had to catch herself from staring too much. It was definitely an odd sight to see prisoners out and about, but she could have sworn she saw some happiness in his eyes or a hint of a smile. Was he really happy or just a momentary thing?
“Hanagai, I don’t think you can bring…friends…along.” She said sort of sourly. Bringing a prisoner out of the cage wasn’t even a smart idea. Most were stronger than they appeared. Ivy looked up at Marcus, trying to figure him out. Maybe he was tired… Or maybe he was just lucky.

Alaina shifted uncomfortably as she stared down at her black shoes nervously. Almost afraid to speak to everybody that was appearing so suddenly. She listened intently, and nosily, to their conversations. She didn't really like to socialize with anybody anyway, only saving her true personality for people she loved, her best friends and a few nonjudgmental family members. She was fine with that, some tiny interaction with others, but usually hated being around people she knew little about. It may have been rude, but she wasn't going to introduce herself unless confronted about her identity.
Alaina finally glanced up to look at Damion and Ivy for the first time, hearing the word "girl" and figured Dante was referring to her, since that annoying word seemed to be her name now. "Alaina..." She corrected Dante, scowling a little bit. She refused the urge to flinch from the little statement about taking care of her. He really wanted to kill her, didn't he? 'I won't give him that pleasure.' She thought to herself quietly.
She continued to look at the Ivy and Damion. They were different somehow. They had a odd presence hovering about them as if they were not natural, not of this planet. "Hello." She said quietly, barely facing them.
She looked up at Dante, listening to his words carefully, ordering herself to memorize the important information. She would be in the back. Being in the back wasn't so dangerous, right? Still, she wasn't exactly the strongest of people, she had never handled a gun, a knife (Unless to cook, which she liked to do), or virtually any kind of weapon. How was she going to do this? Ugh, this was going to be difficult.
If she did indeed fail and if Dante was preparing to murder her, then she wouldn't just let that happen. She would rather commit suicide than have Dante kill her. She could run, but from experience, she would more than likely be caught. Heh, trapped, like usual.
She turned to the source of the echoing footsteps and Ivy's voice. Alaina winced as she looked from Hanagai to Marcus. He looked pretty awful and with an almost sickly appearance. Was he a prisoner or something? Hanagai, her face resonating with obvious happiness, looked almost like she didn't belong here. Not many people looked all that merry here.

The small ninja girl pouted at Ivy, one small arm holding Marcus' and the other on her hip. Frowning, she raised her chin at the woman. Hanagai never liked the women here, in her mind they were all just sluts who were trying to take her Dante-sama away from her. The poor little ninja wasn't very smart it seemed. Turning to her beloved killer, she turned her little frown into a wide smile that reached ear to ear.
"Ah! Dante-sama! You're back!"
The girl was about to run up and cling to Dante as usual, but then remembered the man that she was holding behind her. Turning to him, she smiled, and then turned back to the group.
"This is Marcus-kun! He's my friend, and I want to bring him along."
Hanagai put emphasis on her words, directing that haughty tone to Ivy, annoyed by her unreasonable questioning. Then, in the corner of her eye, she spotted a girl next to Dante. So many thoughts raced in that small little head all at once. This can't be good. The girl was pretty, young, blond, and was much too close to Dante for comfort. Fire swarmed in the pit of her stomach, engulfing herself in jealousy. Surely the girl wanted Dante for herself, why else would she be with him?
Walking up to the girl, the japanese ninja looked her up and down skeptically, an angry look in her dark eyes. Tossing her dark hair as she turned, and still dragging Marcus, she placed herself in between Dante and the mysterious girl. "Who is this baka? She doesn't look like much, can she even fight? What is she even doing here Dante-sama?"

Marcus took in everyone that he was with, memorizing their faces and features quickly. He didn't have to try to hard to memorize some of them, he recognized them as the ones that captured him during the raid. But there were new faces too. Those that included Ivy. He couldn't help it, there was something in her eyes that seemed so lost... So... detached. With a slight sigh he stretched out the tendrils of his mind to her, searching, poking prodding, gently, trying to do it secretly... His eyes stayed locked onto hers as he found something she didn't even remember anymore. A history buried under all the rubble of her mind. All the lies and doubt. "Ara..." Oops, had he said something? But the whisper had been so light that he would have sworn it was nothing if he hadn't felt his own lips move. She was missing someone and didn't even know it.
At the small speech by Hanagai he was jerked back into reality, he pulled his mind back, keeping silent. Might as well prove he wasn't worthless.
Now, he turned bored-ly to Ivy. "A mentis can be harder to find then you'd like to think. It depends on how much they -don't- want to be found. You can't read their minds and look for them," Hmmm... well, don't go and waste the extra power you've got now. "And even if you do find them," he added quickly, "the fire might just put up a good fight."
Was he helping the enemy? Hell, he was gonna do anything to get out of this hell hole.

The group that had accumulated in front of Chris' door was rather large, Damion had noticed, and incredibly loud. One of the tenants in another room was sure to step out and holler at them for being so noisy. But they were with Dante, and from experience Damion had understood that Dante held a sort of 'power' within the government. Everyone seemed to listen to him, regardless of what he said.
Which was what he and Ivy were doing at the moment, gaze shifted to face Dante, quietly absorbing the information he was given and memorizing it in the back of his head. An elemental and a mentis. A fire elemental and a crippled mentis. Versus - Damion took a mental tally of the small group settled in the hallway. They had more power in just their numbers. Not to mention that the powers matched up on more than one occasion, and that only helped to give way to the fact that whoever these rebels were, the odds were just not fair. And then they'd end up bound to chains, prisoners, or end up dead. It was all so mundane. Repetitive at best. Damion rolled his shoulder, bending his neck back somewhat in order to get rid of a kink that had managed to become rather uncomfortable. His position ever stoic, solemn expression on his face as he waited for them to get arranged and out the door. That was before one of their prisoners appeared out of nowhere. Damion was more than intrigued by the sudden shift in dynamics, but remained as he was. Dante had claimed himself leader after all, so there was no reason for him to give his opinions on anything. A slender eyebrow quirked upwards as the only notion of life left in him, taking in the information the prisoner had given them. Well, he might be of some use. Slightly restless, Damion stood up straight, getting off the wall, looking around him at the gathered few before looking back at the door. "Maybe Chris could meet up with us there. He might be having some...difficulties."

Personally, to this kid taking a long time was enjoyment. Sure, if Chris knew there was a bunch of people outside, he would have hurried up. Even so, he knew Dante would kick his ass sometime later. Of course Dante scared him; shriek-like-a-girl-and-run scared him. With a sigh, he finally finished up his little work in his room, straightening up his posture slightly for a moment. He was clueless about the whole entire thing-- until he eavesdropped, at least.
He pressed his ear against the door silently, listening to the whole situation. It turned out he would be the defense; the part that had nothing to do is the attack was stronger. If these Damion and Ivy kids were strong, there would be no point in standing guard... But he'd still have to do it anyway. With a grunt, he twisted the knob of the door, blinking a few times as he adjusted to the blinding white of the hallway. Too bad half of the white was blocked by a bunch of people.
He was slightly taken aback by the numbers of people in front of his door, but he simply walked out and closed the door anyway. He didn't know half of the people here... After all, new people were joining here every day. How would it be so easy to count? With a sigh, he let on a small grin before wiping it off. "Don't go crazy. We all can just go now or whatever... I heard the plans or whatever," Chris mumbled, not letting his eyes shift to the [probably] annoyed faces of everyone else. Five minutes turned longer than five, of course; but he didn't intend on taking such a long time, anyway. Going with two or so people was easier than going with probably about seven.
Chris's blue orbs flickered to Dante for a moment. "Any idea of weapon choice?" He questioned, listing a brow before actually lifting his head to Dante. So the mad-man was chewing gum, it seemed. That gum would probably be shoved up his butt if Dante was known for temper tantrums. "Oh, and by the way," he added, keeping his head up, but shifting his gaze to the others. "Sorry to keep you all waiting," he finished, flashing an innocent smile before leaning against his door slightly. It was time to get on the move. He had to be ready. But, like every time, he barely was-- not like it mattered. To him, nothing ever mattered. Meaning, he was probably good for the job; He hoped, anyway.

Dante chuckled as he listened to the little ninja spout jealousy at the female companions in the group. Hanagai was always the jealous type, and Dante knew that she had thing for him. The poor little girl was so clueless, she didn't even get that he could never love anyone. It just wasn't an emotion of his. He destroyed that one a long time ago, and maybe, he never even had it to begin with. Oh well. He turned to the young ninja, patted her on the head.
"She is here on a test, to see if she can prove useful to us. Don't be so jealous Hana-chan." He chuckled again, and then was about to answer Damion's question, when he saw Chris finally step out. Crossing his arms, the dark man raised an eyebrow in an annoyed manner.
"Well well, look who decided to show up. 5 minutes my fucking ass. No matter, if you already heard then I suppose we should get going then." Walking forward, he dragged Alaina with him, making sure she would follow him. Dante had to keep a close eye on the girl.
"Oh and Chris, weapon choice should be just the regular. Got that? Use your personal weapon." Stopping in his tracks, he eyed Marcus, almost forgetting that he was there. Sighing, he though to himself. Why does Hanagai always have to make things harder? Well, he could prove useful.
"You, prisoner boy, if you know so much then you shall come and help capture the Mentis, since he would be able to read your thoughts. As for the fire elemental, Damion shall see to that." Then, Dante got back to on track.
"Come on, don't just stand here your dumb-asses, let's get going."

There was a moment, when Marcus looked at her that she could feel her mind being opened. With a flash she looked away, ignoring the chills that went up her spine. Though Ivy didn’t have much to hide, she still didn’t like the idea of someone going through her deepest thoughts and reading them. Plus, she knew Government information, and she was sure they wouldn’t be pleased if it leaked out. Even though it was technically Hanagai’s fault.
Her eyes were focused now, on Alaina. Ivy felt sorry for the girl. She knew the sort of things Dante must have told her and she could barely picture what it must have been like to be brought here by him. Was it bad for her to feel upset about these things? Alaina was just a human after all, really no threat to any of those standing in hallway. If Dante thought she had potential then Ivy might as well think the same. So, she offered the girl a friendly smile. “I’m Ivy. Welcome to the team.”
She left out that Alaina probably wouldn’t be here for long, but didn’t find it necessary, or an essential.
It was around that time that Chris stepped out from his room and Ivy chuckled at his innocent smile. Surely it wasn’t everyday that you were late for Dante, and surely it wasn’t everyday that you had to make up for it. Ivy didn’t want to dawdle any longer, so she hustled to get towards the front of the pack. Not to be by Dante, no. He told her that her job was to attack. She and Damion should be towards the front.
Her fragile figure turned and started making its way down the hall. She didn’t really mind if she got in trouble by the leader of the group. Honestly, she wasn’t even that afraid of him. Ivy didn’t want to disappoint him, no not at all. He was higher up in the Government food chain. But power wise? She could break him like a tooth pick. Though she didn’t dare let him know she felt more powerful then him. Just because she could snap him in half didn’t mean he couldn’t slice her in half. Her eyes swiveled towards the hilt of his sword.
“Ah, the hunt begins.”

"Uh..." Alaina took a tiny step behind her as Hanagai examined her harshly. Alaina almost tripped over her own two feet as the young girl practically pushed her away from Dante. "Fine with me..." Alaina murmured while shooting a glare at Hanagai and Dante. She would rather be as far away from Dante as possible but Hanagai obviously didn't know that fact. Alaina glanced around at all the faces of the, in her opinion, strange people and noticed a friendly face. Alaina returned a soft smile to Ivy. She felt a sense of relief at the friendly gesture Ivy gave to her but that was quickly dashed as she heard a door creak open.
Alaina looked up at Chris and frowned. It wasn't like she didn't like Chris, more like her time to be tested was drawing closer. The butterflies in her stomach automatically started fluttering. She was actually quite grateful towards Chris for delaying her time to capture whatever these people wanted to be captured.
"Hey!" Alaina nearly tripped, again, as she felt Dante grab her roughly and drag as if she was a rag doll like he usually does. A question popped in her mind as she walked, trying to keep up with Dante's long strides. "Uh... Dante? What about me? I need a weapon too, right?" Stupid question. "Can I have gun or something?" She was hoping for a gun for many reasons. Swords had to be harder to handle, more blood and guts, a lot easier to injure yourself accidentally with it, and (A stupid reason.) but swords just scared the living shit out of her. Anything but a sword.

Chris tilted his head as he looked at Alaina. What was with her staring at him? Sure, everyone ought to be ticked off with his mis-calculation of time, but she had a different expression on her face; one that rather confused him. But, it probably hadn't had anything to do with him, since she was stuck tagging along while being captive. The worst part for her was probably that Dante had control over her... But life sucked like that anyways.
Not having the feeling to give the girl a welcome before she was dragged off, Chris rubbed his arms slightly before getting off of the door, following behind everyone else. He was aware of what a Mentis was, and basically any kind of danger that could be possible, but he had no idea who these people he was fighting were. Intentionally, Chris was always just stuck in these white walls, yet he had a few chances to go on missions like this. Silently, he reached his left hand across his body, bringing it inside his long coat. He felt the metal of his gun, feeling for the trigger so he'd know where it was for later. Once finding the spot, Chris took his hand out of the pocket, walking along.
How fun this would be.

The Elemental wanted more than anything to get going. To get started with the mission, finish it up nice and quick, nice and clean, and get back as if nothing had happened. Something would have, but Damion was usually not required for clean-up. Paper-work, maybe. The sweeping of the blood and guts really wasn't in his field.
Damion watched Ivy step past him and make her own way down the hallway. She had initiative, which was a positive. Or a negative. It really just depended on whether or not their 'hits' saw the glass as half empty or the glass as half full. Damion would have left, but he noticed Alaina looking at Chris, and a bitter smile almost slide across his lips. Life just wasn't destined to work for anyone, was it?
And then Alaina was dragged away by Dante, and Chris followed. Hanagai and Marcus were still there, in front of the door, but Damion couldn't wait for them. He held his hands loosely at his side and followed the disappearing party down the hallway, quietly and quickly, almost like their shadow, lagging behind an appropriate amount, shooting one look back at Hanagai.
"Let's go, Hanagai?"
