Other
Past: During his time on his home planet, Richard lived a strange life. His parents were both assassinated in his infancy, and thus, he lived with an adopted mother. He was raised to believe that this was his biological mother. She taught him many skills early on in his years. Where the average child learned to color, Richard learned to cook. When that same child learned to read, Richard learned how to operate a motorized vehicle.
When he entered school, Richard was viewed as an oddity. He had the knowledge one would learn at adulthood, but nothing you’d learn as a child. Richard adapted fast, however. He had a particular interest in his people’s history. Whenever this was mentioned, he’d sit up wide eyed and wanting to learn. However, his education ended when his powers manifested themselves when Richard was 7.
During a walk home from school, the hitman from his childhood returned. The unknown employer had judged that none of the Kanaan family should be left, and thus, the assassin was sent to dispose of Richard as well now. While walking, the hitman ambushed Richard, and tried to slit his throat. Richard’s powers activated on instinct, teleporting him all the way across the planet and into a storming desert.
Unconscious, Richard was discovered by a band of nomads, who took Richard into their midst. Richard was shocked and afraid, but quickly took to the nomads. After telling the nomads what had happened, Richard’s identity as a Traveller Rebmevon was revealed to himself. The nomads taught him to use his warping powers, and he returned to his home. There, his adopted mother had been murdered by the hitman, and Richard was placed in an orphanage again, though he still went to school.
11 years passed, and Richard graduated as a historian, top of his class. Skipping multiple grades, Richard earned a job working as a library worker. He also began to study his abilities more, and researched attempts by Travellers to change the past, though most ended in horrific failure. Richard swore to find a way to do it right. To help pay his bills, Richard joined the local law enforcement, and served for about a year before retiring from burn wounds to his left eye.
Then, the invasion began. Richard immediately came out of retirement, attempting to help stave off the assailants. When the situation became grim, Richard abandoned the planet with the rest of the refugees, set out on a space pod for earth. Richard was bitter about this, but thanks to his powers, he believed, and still does believe, it’s possible to undo all of that.
On Earth, Richard began working with the government, as a spy. After being captured and researched upon his initial landing, Richard escaped with his powers. Then, to prevent further attempts of harming him, he offered his services to the government as an agent, willing to hunt down and capture other Rebmevons in order to deliver them to the government. Despite betraying his own people, Richard felt no guilt. After all, when he was able to learn a way to undo the past… he could change it all.
Other: If I had to post a picture, just think something similar to this. Kind of.

“Just my luck…had to get a taxi today instead of those idiots giving me a ride. For somebody making an offer, they sure aren’t doing a good job at rolling out the red carpet first.” The man thought to himself. Fiddling with his tie, he pushed it down into his suit. Having tied it wrong, it looked quite unprofessional. But, the taxi driver had been in a hurry. Along with the man not quite knowing how to efficiently tie a tie.
“Hey, driver. Can we go any faster? I’ve got to be at the place soon, otherwise I might get there after they stop serving the biscuits.” The man said in his dry, sarcastic tone. “Yo no hablo Inglés.” The taxi driver replied, as the taxi pulled up to a tall, dark building that stretched high into the sky, with thousands of glass windows coating the surface.
“There. Here’s your cash. Now, get out of here.” The man said, stepping out of the car and handing a bill to the taxi driver. The taxi took off, as the man entered the building and stepped up to a elevator. Hitting a button, the man stepped inside the crowded elevator. Crying kids and overweight men…wonderful. The man pressed the button for the 12th floor. The elevator began to move, heading upstairs for the floors it was assigned to head for.
At the 12th floor, the man stepped off, approaching a receptionist. “Hello, miss. I have an appointment with one of the staff here.” “Your name?” The girl replied. “Richard….Richard Andrew.” Richard stated. “The client?” “Mr. Avery.” “Down that hall, and in the second last door on your left.” Thank you, miss.” And with that, Richard headed down the hall, ignoring glances from passing-by men. He entered the room he was told to go to, and saw a large work desk, with an American flag painted on it. A elder man, dressed in a plad white shirt and wearing a pair of circular glasses looked up at Richard. “Ah, I was waiting for you. Take a seat, Richard.” He said. Richard approached the desk and sat down in front of it, eyeing the other man carefully.
“Richard, my name is Daniel Avery. I’m guessing the message came through?”
“Yeah. But don’t ask stupid, pointless questions. What do you want from me?”
“Right then, Richard. I’ll get down to it. You’re not human. Don’t bother trying to deny it. You’re one of those new things that have taken up residence recently…Reb-somethings. Now, how did you escape the research labs?”
“I’m just a damn good magician. I pulled a…what was his name…Houdini on you.”
“Now who’s bothering with pointless banter?”
“Touché. I’m what my species calls a Traveller… I can bend the rules of time and space for my own uses. I pulled myself through space out of that place.”
“Heh…like a TV show my son watches.”
“Eh?”
“Nothing. Richard, I want you to work with me. That power…that’s something humans only dream of having. Look at things from our perspective. The ability to go anywhere…do you understand the use of that? A trip that would take years for us can be done in a second by you!”
“You’re just a little slow.”
“I wouldn’t say that. Richard, I want you to do some…odd jobs for me and my allies. An ability like yours will benefit us greatly…and we can return that. We’ll never hunt or pursue you, and we’ll grant you all the greatest rewards a person could need on this planet.”
“…What type of work?”
“Recon. Find more people of your species. Bring them to us, or just mark them. That’s where your part in it ends, and we’ll reward you for it.”
Richard was being asked to betray his own people. His own race. But…there was a certain worth in this. For Richard’s powers had, in his eyes, limitless potential. It was like a reset button. Even if Richard did this, he could simply delete it later on if he managed to master his time powers. Thus…he could make the best of this life, and then simply write over it…after a moment’s consideration…
“We have a deal, Mr. Avery.”
Memories all alone in the moonlight.
